Founder of Face Mask Vogue
Face Mask Vogue was founded in May 2020 by Rachel Harshman.
Rachel saw that face masks were going to be a necessity of life during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite hating the idea of face masks, she wanted to be able to provide stylish, fashionable, comfortable and reusable cloth face masks which her family would enjoy wearing. With a large array of different fabric designs from her quilting background, she got to work.
In order to construct the most durable and comfortable design possible. The outside of the masks are made from 100% batiked quilters cotton from her wide range of fabrics, while the inside on the masks are made from 100% Egyptian cotton with a 200 thread count in order to kind of skin and comfortable to wear.
The third layer of the face mask is fusible webbing in order to give the mask structure and to complete the triple-layered face mask making the CDC quality.
What started out as a way to protect others and not buy into single use plastic face masks, quickly became a successful business.
The high quality of the face masks combined with the zero waste ethos of the brand has people form all across the globe raving about Face Mask Vogue!
Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter pages were quickly formed and the orders came rushing in through direct messages which kicked off the small business of Face Mask Vogue. A website was designed in order to mainstream the selling process and to provide an engaging platform to show off Rachel's extensive selection of fabrics.
Five months later Face Mask Vogue is going from strength to strength. With thousands of followers and large volumes of orders. We cannot wait to see what happens next!
